BrainPop.com : The BrainPop website is award winning and quite honestly, really cool. From their website: Founded in 1999, BrainPOP creates animated, curriculum-based content that supports educators and engages students. There's lots to do and see on this site, not to mention its make learning fun!
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention : This is the official government site. There is tons of information here about dieases, safety, health conditions, prevention and publications. Somethings most people don't know is that there is a vast image library here, data and statistics, and information on every disease you could mention. It's also worthy reading prior to travel!
Instructables.com : The Instructables website is so full of useful information and instructional videos it is hard to imagine. These are submitted by you, the users. This was an outgrowth from MIT media Labs. Register and submit your own unique "Instructable"!
Internet Public Library : This website is astoundingly deep and should be on every student's short list of research sites. Our staff was floored by the amount of information, links and varied sources given. And you know what? All of the links worked! We couldn't find one dead link. This definitely is a site to bookmark!
MIT Open Courseware : All 1800 courses are online from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology including notes, lectures, exams and videos. That's right, that MIT, all for free. It is hard to imagine why it took so long for this, or why MIT is only one of a select handful of other Universities that has taken the step to SHARE knowledge. But it's now available. Take a class. Discover something new.
studyisland.com : This is a great site used by teachers and parents alike for affordable, easy-to-use, web-based standards mastery. Lots of teachers incorporate these folks into their study plans.
